California's youth mental health crisis is happening right now.
We believe students should be able to get help before they reach a breaking point.
California Can't Wait is raising $150,000 to help launch a pilot program that brings licensed mental health support directly to students through a California public school.
This is bigger than one school.
The goal is to build a model, measure what happens, and use the results to help make the case for expanding access across California.
Every donation moves us closer to $150,000.
We can talk about the youth mental health crisis forever.
Or we can start building the solution.
This pilot is designed to show what can happen when students have access to licensed mental health support where they already spend their days: school.
This is not about raising money just to "raise awareness."
The goal is implementation.
Funding can support licensed therapists providing direct mental health services to students.
Building the systems needed to make the pilot actually work inside a school, including coordination, scheduling, referrals, student access, and program operations.
Track outcomes so we can learn what is working, what needs to improve, and what the program is accomplishing.
Make sure students know help exists and families understand how students can access it.
Use what we learn from the pilot to educate the public, policymakers, schools, funders, and partners about what it would take to expand access.
Every gift goes toward getting licensed mental health support in front of students.

That Is What Early Intervention Looks Like.
School reaches young people across income levels and communities.
Treatment cannot work if a student cannot reach it.
The goal is to identify problems and provide support before they become emergencies.
Pilot → Proof → Scale
The $150,000 goal is about more than serving one group of students.
It is about taking an idea out of a presentation and putting it into the real world.
We want to learn from the pilot, document the results, improve the model, and use that evidence to advocate for broader access to licensed mental health care through California schools.
California Can't Wait is an initiative of WeBelong Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on prevention, early intervention, and belonging.
Funding raised for this campaign will support the work required to build and advance the California Can't Wait mission and pilot.
A crisis should not be the first time a child gets help.
